Continued Precipitous Drop in New Cases<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Good Morning<\/strong>,<\/p>\n

At the end of August, there were over 1 million new cases per week. Last week the number fell to about 600,000. We\u2019ve had seven weeks of this favorable trend. We expect this was caused by getting closer to the magic Herd Immunity Factor, which is the combination of vaccinated individuals and those who naturally acquired immunity.<\/p>\n

We have now administered over 402 million doses as of last week.\u00a0Of which 187 million have completed their entire regimen, an increase of 1.7 million compared to the prior week.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0About over 56% of our citizens have completed their respective dose regimens.\u00a0The US is averaging a one-half-of-one-percent increase in fully vaccinated individuals per week.\u00a0Those that have not yet participated in the vaccination program aren\u2019t gaining motivation to accelerate their pace.<\/div>\n

There are 30 million citizens that require a second shot to complete their requirement.\u00a0Once theirs are complete, that would increase those vaccinated to 65%.\u00a0The combination of the 187 million-plus the recorded (19 million net, less the duplicates) and unrecorded (42.0 million less the double-counting) recoveries make our Herd Immunity Factor (HIF) 247 million or 74% of our population.\u00a0Our view is that once we cross the 80% threshold of those with natural and vaccinated immunity, we will see the long-awaited light at the end of the tunnel.<\/div>\n

The trend for new cases has been moving in a favorable direction over the past weeks. Notice in the graph below and the second green arrow. Since mid-August, we\u2019ve had several weeks of fewer cases.<\/div>\n
